The Aging Myth: Unlocking the Mysteries of Looking and Feeling Young
Costumer Review The Aging Myth: Unlocking the Mysteries of Looking and Feeling Young
By :John Freeman "JF, Philosophiae Doctor" (El Cajon, CA)
How can you be youthful when you die? It seems a paradox. Dr. Chang of Portsmouth University in England wants to deconstruct the myth that aging the way we know it is unavoidable. Chang offers an alternative that is as reasonable as it is controversial.
His basic premise is based on a new paradigm in genetic science that says it's not what you're born with that matters, it's how you use that genetic makeup. It's the quintessential nurture over nature argument and I'm on board. The Aging Myth book is interesting, not terribly scientific (for those who object to lingo), but has some metaphysical leanings, which could deter other readers.
Chang has had honest motivation to figure out the fountain of youth. His father died from a chronic illness after a long, painful bout. The result is a great deal of research and analysis of the topic of aging.
